First of all go to the UIDAI website uidai.gov.in. Go to My Aadhaar here and go to Aadhaar Services. After that click on Lock/Unlock Biometrics. Here allow by clicking on Lock Enable.
After this the next webpage will open, enter your 12 digit Aadhaar number in it. Also fill the captcha code given below. After that click on Send OTP. After this OTP will come on the registered mobile number, fill it in the given space.
Select the option to lock/unlock biometric data. Your biometric data will be locked.
This facility will help in case of loss or theft of Aadhar card
Once your Aadhar card is locked, you can also unlock it. This facility is very helpful in case your Aadhar card is lost or stolen. In that case no one can misuse your Aadhar card, to avoid that you can lock your Aadhar card.
