UGC Gives Permission to Choose Optional Subjects : Colleges & Universities Have The Decision Making Power Now.
University Grants Commission of India-UGC released an important announcement regard the optional subjects in the College assessment. The board said that, Colleges and universities can increase the number of optional subjects for their students. The board offered this facility based on the new education policy.
As per the new education policy, students will be required to study not only core subjects but also optional subjects at all types of colleges and universities. The UGC launched many optional courses for the Colleges and Universities students to choose. According to the, Dental Arts Grants Committee of UGC rule, there are 107 courses have been offered to colleges and universities.
The UGC board also offered the respective colleges and the Universities to choose the optional courses themselves even the specified subject they chose may not present at the list of the board created. It is noted that, that affiliated educational institutions need to get permission of the Academic Council of their respective organization only.
