Power scenario goes from bad to worse in South Kashmir’s Anantnag Forced power cuts to prevail: AEE
Anantnag, Apr 20, KNT: The supply of electricity has gone from bad to worse in South Kashmir’s Anantnag town and its adjacent areas in the ongoing holy month of Ramadan.
Residents of Kadipora, Lazbal, Mehandi Kadal, Cheni Chowk, Mattan Chowk, Lal Chowk, Nai Basti and KP Road have been complaining day in and day out about the pathetic situation of the power supply.
“We know that the power scenario in Valley goes slack every winter but in this holy month of Ramadan, the situation is getting from bad to worse. We were not expecting this scenario in this holy month,” a group of locals from the town told news agency Kashmir News Trust.
They said there is no proper schedule and the power supply adds up to a few hours in aggregate.
When contacted, AEE Anantnag, Farhat Ahmed said that the forced power cuts will prevail in the coming days as they are not getting the proper power supply. “We will overcome the situation in the coming days,” he added. (KNT)
