Class 11th Girl commits suicide after being allegedly harassed by neighbour
A boy, whose name has not been disclosed, was today taken into custody under Fir No 67/22, police said.
A Class 11 student committed suicide in Rajwar locality of Handwara after being allegedly stalked and harassed by her neighbour.
The family members said that on the 28th of last month, the boy living in her neighbourhood made her photos viral, adding that on the same night, she consumed a poisonous substance at her home.
The girl (name with held) was taken to a nearby hospital where doctors shifted her to SKIMS Soura, where she breathed her last on Tuesday late at night.
Speaking to Rising Kashimir the family alleged that the boy was continuously harassing her and they (the family) had also informed the boy’s family time and again.

Her father alleged that the boy forced her to talk to her even after she avoided any conversation with him, causing her stress.
He also alleged that his daughter was harassed by the boy on a number of occasions, prompting her to end her life.
Following the allegations that the teenager had troubled the girl in the past, we have taken him into custody, police said.
